Hendricks Golf Club and
Men’s League Rules For 2008

1. Will use the USGA 2008 Rules of Golf.
2. The Rules Committee shall rule on all disputes. The committee’s decision will be final in accordance with rule 34-3. The Rules Committee consists of the Board President, League Secretary and three elected members.
3. SUMMER rules apply. That means no moving your ball anywhere. “Pick, clean and place” can be decided by the golf course superintendent or the foursome playing on Hole 3.
4. Out of bounds penalty is one stroke and loss of distance. All white stakes are out of bounds, as is gravel road on #8 and tar road on #1 and #9.
5. League rules will be 2 points per hole to winning team and 2 points to low net team, equalling a possible 20 points per match.
6. There is a jump in, jump out privilege when 1 player is gone in accordance with Rule 31-2.
7. Any graduating high school senior is eligible to play league.
8. All four golfers of a match must be in line at #3 tee box to establish position for tee off.
9. All teams in playoff, but if one cannot make it in allotted time, that team must forfeit. All playoff matches to be played within a week of the scheduled time. Any disputes will be settled by the Rules Committee.
10. Sudden death finish for tie in playoffs, but if any of the foursome disagree, a full nine holes must be played.
11. All league players and subs must be club members. All league dues must be paid before playing in league. Membership fees, shed rent and user fees must be paid by the latest allowable date stated by the club to continue play in league.
12. All matches not played on or before scheduled night must be made up by the following Tuesday night. If no prior arrangement has been made between the two teams and one team does not show up in a reasonable time on the night scheduled for that match, the team that does not show will be disqualified. The team that is there and ready for the match will be awarded 12 points. The team that does not show and does not make prior arrangements will receive NO points.
13. If one member of a team is unable to make it, you may choose another player off the course or choose a player who has not yet played providing they are not in your league. You may also choose to double card if approved by your opponents or you may play with a sub with an established handicap as long as they are not in your league and have paid all dues and fees owed. The last option does not need opponent approval.
14. All handicaps for the beginning of league will be last years ending league handicap.
15. Leagues start from 1:00 to 2:59, 3:00 to 4:29, 4:30 to 5:29 and 5:30. All league players should be there during these allotted times. If you fail to arrive prior to the time frame established for your league, you must get in line at the next available position. If your foursome is on the box prior to the end time for your league, you will not lose your position in line to teams from the following league.
16. If it is your bye week, you must wait until all leagues have teed off to play.
17. ALL BEVERAGES MUST BE PURCHASED AT THE HENDRICKS GOLF CLUB...ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!!
